IvyBot is a powerful plugin as we discussed in our previous post. If works by plugging directly into the trading platform that you are using. In our previous post we brought up the idea of a broker. The person who takes your buy/sell orders and places them in real time. In order to give you a way to place orders digitally these brokers give you an interface called MetaTrader 4.
IvyBot works by hooking into this system and automatically issuing profitable trades. IvyBot works in the following steps:
- Analyzes market conditions and trends by pulling recent history and using several indicators such as: Moving Average, Standard Deviation, Fisher Index, Relative Strength Index and several others.
- Determines a trade that would be profitable based on the indicators it has analyzed
- Issues a trade that it deems to be profitable
- Closes the trade once the trade has made enough money as define by you
If we look at these steps we can see many of the benefits that IvyBot provides. First of all it performs many complicated calculations and more importantly interprets them correctly, something a human will not always do. It then takes your preferences and places a trade based on how much money you have given it to trade and how aggressively you want to trade and as soon as the trade meets your parameters for profitability it closes the trade leaving you with a net positive trade.
On top of that IvyBot has a built in Stop Loss function. In the rare case that IvyBot makes a wrong decision (about 2% of the time) it closes it automatically if the trade is not profitable.
